This week we continue our series called Speaking The Language of the Heart with part 5 called: Let Go of All Assumptions
We began our 5-part series with How To Express Yourself with Honesty and Respect with the hilarious movie: What About Bob?
Then we discussed Cracking The Heart Language Code and our featured alignment movie was The Imitation Game, staring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly.
Our next episode was a discussion on How To Be a Compassionate Listener with our featured Alignment Movie: The King’s Speech.
In last week’s show called: Speaking Your Truth with Grace we reviewed the movie Chef written and directed by John Favreau.
Chef was such a blast!
So to recap we’ve covered much ground including:
- Communication patterns that don’t work.
- Other ways to enhance heart communication.
- Examples of how to be a better listener.
- How to have the courage to speak your truth.
Are you noticing a shift in your communication styles? How about the way others are responding to you?
This next movie will round out a profound shift in heart aligned communication.
This week our featured alignment movie is: The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
This movie is such a delightful time. It’s a great example of what happens we we make assumptions and how it manifests in our communication styles.
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is a 2015 British comedy-drama film directed by John Madden and written by Ol Parker. It is the sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Which is one of our favorite movies featured in our book: It’s Just Commerce: Returning Balance To Business.
Muriel Donnelly and Sonny Kapoor travel to San Diego, California to propose a plan to hotel magnate Ty Burley for buying and opening a second hotel in India as a companion to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. They are told that a company inspector will anonymously visit India to evaluate the project.
Immediately, Sonny Kapoor begins to make assumptions that don’t let up for the remainder of the film. At times it’s funny to watch him get tangled by his assumptions and other times it can be hard to watch.
