Around the holidays, I was listening to Robert Earl Keen’s Happy Holidays Y’all. It’s funny and reminded me of the craziness that sometimes occurs during the holidays. Keen’s deft story telling sure paints a clear picture of holidays many of us have experienced. It’s funny and sometimes not so much. If you’re worried you might be headed for a Robert Earl Keen holiday, this post is for you.

Stay Centered Around People That Hook You
There was a silly commercial in the 80’s for the dog snack “Snausages”. A cartoon dog would jump out of the most unlikely places barking “snausages”. It’s annoyingly funny. I’ve come to notice that we all have people that act just like the Snausage dog. They perfectly reflect the vibrations that are going on within and can hook us into reactivity if we’re not aware. If you have “Snausages” teachers in your world and you want to shift this pattern, watch the Alignment Process movie session: As Good As It Gets. After watching this movie, you may be pleasantly surprised how the Snausage dogs in your life disappear.
Practice Compassionate Listening
Sometimes the holidays stir up old frozen feelings that need to be released. We all have our own unique ways of letting go and sometimes it can get messy. If you desire to be a better listener, then try this Alignment Process movie: The King’s Speech.
Love Completely
This holiday choose to love all the quirks, reactivity, and aspects of your loved ones you don’t understand. This can also be a path to loving yourself completely. Once you begin this practice, loving others is much easier. Loving completely is the work of the heart and it really isn’t affected by the fussy people in your life. The heart doesn’t judge, nor does it keep score. If you want to resonate with love, here’s a quick Loving Completely Alignment Session .
Robert Earl Keen’s holiday song humorously reminds us that we’re all quirky and this diversity is to be celebrated. Love the eccentricities of your loved ones and you’ll find deeper joy and peace of mind.
Happy Holidays Y’all

Love this blog Dave…perfect timing with the holiday season and parties, etc. I did the alignment session regarding the “snausages” people in my life and you are right…somehow, it shifted things and they don’t come off like the used to. Who knew watching one of my favorite shows again after the session would really do the trick but it did. The book, Taming You Dragon, also speaks to me and has helped me remold myself, my outlook and my life! Thanks!! Off to read, “It’s Just Commerce.”
